Job Titles...Boring

I was at a grocery store and had the opportunity to ask the guy behind me what he does. "I'm an information processing specialist," he said. I didn't know what to do with that. It was vague, ambiguous, and sort of intimidating too. But the bottom line is I did not process his information very well.
Start out by explaining the need you satisfy, the benefits you bring,  or the problem you solve. It's more fun for the conversation. And it is clearer to everyone. Take a few moments to reflect on these three: Needs, Benefits, Solutions, as they may relate to your current job. If you pick one and put it in laymen's terms, you have a stronger answer to "Hey, what do you do?"
